ABOUT GINGER GILMOUR
Ginger Gilmour, the former wife of Pink Floyd’s guitarist David Gilmour, is an artist, sculptor, and visionary. On a perpetual quest for beauty, much of her work was inspired by Pink Floyd.
As she entered her adulthood her quest led her into the world of Pink Floyd, the rock band. Their music touched her very being and further inspired the dream-the quest for Beauty and that one can live it! As it happened she fell in love with David Gilmour, their lead-guitarist. Their first moments were a girl’s dream come true. They married on the 7th of July 1975 and over the next ten years gave birth to their four children: Alice, Clare, Sara & Matthew. During this time her life expanded to include the development of her own innate artistic qualities. She studied for eight years with the English Visionary Artist, Cecil Collins. He inspired her to touch the essence of life and then allow one’s own uniqueness to create the form or drawing that would capture its treasured quality.
